City Introduction Tours, Apartments in Pocitos and General Expat Help

Hi! My name is Sonia Duarte. I am an Uruguayan born in Paysandu and have lived in Pocitos for 8 years.

I offer "personal assistant" services to help expats living in Uruguay now and those moving to Uruguay with various needs: finding a place to live in Pocitos, personal introduction to Montevideo tours, and any other general help needed.

• Apartments in Pocitos. Since I have lived in Pocitos for 8 years I am familiar with Pocitos and the surrounding neighborhoods, Punta Carretas, and Parque Villa Barritiz. I can help you find an apartment. Once you give me the basic details of what you are looking for I'll contact several real estate agents and make some appointments for us to look. I can also directly call any advertisements you see in the newspaper or signs on properties.

  I can help narrow down to the properties that meet your requirements, ie: price, heating, security, parking, etc.

• City Introduction Tour. This is a personalized tour of Montevideo to help you get settled. It can be designed to help match your needs with the city. Do you want to learn how to ride the buses? Where to shop for clothes? Health food? Atheltic clubs or good restaurants? Museums and historical buildings?

• Other Services. Do you want help shopping? Do you want someone to shop for you? Do you want a day trip/tour of Punta del Este?

I don't have a car, so for all my services we'll experience Montevideo as many locals and expats do. Without a car. This will help you learn how easy the city is to live in without the hassles or expense of car ownership.

I am happy to help you with anything you need. However, I don't help with tramites (filing papers) as there are other Uruguayans that do a great job in that department. I am not a "group tour guide." All of my services are personalized for an individuals and couples.

Please review my rates before scheduling an appointment, and remember I am not a real estate agent, but rather a personal assistant and will do my best to help you. I often attend the Sunday Expat Meetings and Expat Happy Hour on Thursdays. I am happy to speak with anyone there and of course that is strictly social so my rates don't apply.
